The Bo'ness Motor Museum was first conceived by owner, Colin Anderson back in 1999.
Origins of the Car Museum
Colin asked his friend, Peter Nelson, of 'Cars of the Stars Museum' in the Lake District if he would be interested in opening a second museum in Bo'ness.
After consideration Peter decided that Colin's property in Bo'ness was not quite what he was looking for.
Colin Anderson decided to go it alone and display his own cars and James Bond (007) memorabilia from his considerable and growing collection.
Official Opening of Motor Museum by James Bond (007) stars
After
much planning and renovation work to the building the Bo'ness Motor
Museum was officially opened at Easter 2004 by Caroline Munro and Shane
Rimmer, 2 of the stars of the Bond film, "The Spy who Loved Me".
But it's more than just a classic car and motor museum
The venue is so much more that just a motor museum but
includes a wide range of Bond memorabilia including cars, props and
posters from many 007 films and TV.
Play area for the kids
It also provides a soft play area, 'The Little Monster's Fun Factory', themed on the film "Monster's Inc", where parents can let the kids play while mum and dad enjoy a drink in 'The Double "O" Bar', a stylish bar decked out with all sorts of James Bond memorabilia from Colin's vast collection.
Bond themed cafe and diner
But not only that. There's also 'Miss Moneypenny's Cafe/Diner' where you can enjoy a delicious light meal or snack.
Family friendly and non-smoking
The entire venue is 'Non Smoking' and Colin and his wife, Fiona, take an active part in ensuring everything is presented in a friendly relaxed atmosphere and all to the highest standard.
Facilities for all and something for everyone
From 'Kiddies' parties' to 'Club & Corporate' meetings the Bo'ness Motor Museum really does have "something for everyone"!
So, when next looking for a great day out you'll be made welcome at the Bo'ness Classic Car Museum... something for everyone!
